Classic Albums
Last Tuesday, I had one of those days. The kind you learn about in first grade – the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad kind that can only be cured by a bouquet of flowers or a random act of kindness…or several margaritas (they didn’t mention that cure when I was in elementary school; I had to figure it out myself)…or a trip down memory lane via the most beautiful wedding album you’ve ever laid eyes on.
And it wasn’t even my wedding album.
Seeing these beautiful photographs – that are actually traditional prints, developed on photo paper like photographs used to be, not made by ink or a printer – gorgeously laid out and matted perfectly within the pages brought me so much joy. Part of it was the presentation, but the other part was seeing these precious moments and memories pulled off the screen and made tangible, touchable…
As soon as I pulled it from the box, I hugged it to my chest, I was so in love.
I don’t know that these photographs can do it justice, but here goes:
A few close ups of some of the little things that make this classic wedding album extra gorgeous:
For this particular album, I decided to leave a gap between the mat edge and the photo edge. The extra border adds a touch of extra elegance, making it look more like a gallery photo inside the book.
Metal corners cover the edges for extra protection, but they also make it easier to turn the pages and have a really classic, sophisticated feel. They add extra weight to the pages, and make the side of the album look polished.
I’ve taken it off the shelf every single day since it came in the mail. That’s how much I love this book.
Albums are one of those things that so many people want to DIY. I get it; there are so many easy, affordable options now. But this…this is the type of thing that you can pass down to your kids, your grandkids…and they will be able to treasure how beautiful and elegant your day was long after you can. This is an album where the presentation elevates and enhances the beauty of your day and of your photos. This will transport you to your happy place…when you’re having a bad day, you can take it down, open it up and smile at the wonderful, beautiful, special memories you made and admire the splendidness of your best day ever in all of it’s glory.

Beautiful album! I love my press printed albums but there’s something about this that is just so special. I’m considering maybe adding something like this as an additional option.
