Loews Annapolis wedding // Katie + Ron’s Best Day Ever!

Reason 5264 I LOVE Katie and Ron and their USNA Chapel and Loews Annapolis wedding:

Ron’s version of their love story.

Katie and I met through a mutual friend on June 8th, 2012, the day after I returned from my first deployment in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sparks flew, riveting conversations were enjoyed, and I may or may not have called her the wrong name at the end of the night (gimme a break, it was my first night back on American soil in six months). For some strange reason, Katie agreed to let me take her out for a burrito a little less than two weeks later. When asked about how said date went, she will always respond with a shrug, “It was a date…” I was pretty charming. She didn’t have time to return my calls or texts due to her budding acting career (Bring It On 4: In It To Win It, check it out at your local Blockbuster video or Walmart bargain bin), so we didn’t see each other again for a couple months until I ran into her by chance in Whole Foods. I saved her hundreds of dollars by directing her away from the gluten free, free range water section back towards the Dasani. That’s all it took. We started dating shortly after she tried kissing me in the produce aisle. I hate PDA though, so I had to shut her down.

Classic story: boy meets girl, calls girl wrong name, takes girl on mediocre date, girl doesn’t talk to boy for two months, Whole Foods romance, MARRIAGE. Nailed it.

There isn’t a smilier groom or happier bride on the planet. Dear universe, thank you for bringing us together. Everything about this day was my fave. If I got to pick my very own groundhog day, one day to do over and over, it would be this one.
