Kayla and Justin // Urban sunrise waterfront engagement
I love fall in the city. And urban sunrise waterfront engagement sessions.
There’s something magical about walking along leaf-littered brick sidewalks next to windows filled with jewel-box colors. There’s a richness in the air as it changes from dewy to crisp in the mornings, and I relish the warmth of teas and coffees in ceramic mugs that spread comfort to my fingertips and toes with each burning sip.
And I understand why everyone wants to celebrate their engagement during this season. To take advantage of the vibrant yellows and oranges and reds, which, let’s be real, are my kind of colors too. To not just snuggle up because it makes for a cute photos, but because it feels good to share the embrace that makes the chill in the air fade for a few moments, when you can forget that it’s freezing and focus on the glow of love, of trust, of a shared desire to comfort each other.
Kayla and Justin chose Fells Point for their engagement session because it’s where they come to unwind, to enjoy fresh local seafood and walk along the harbor. We picked up donuts and coffee for their sunrise session, and then strolled along the waterfront and down red brick and cobblestone streets, finding the sweet nooks, nestled among the restaurants and businesses, that make charm city so very charming in the quiet just after sunrise and before the hustle and bustle of deliveries and commuters takes over for the day. I love their joy in being together and could not think of a better way to start a day than by celebrating the way they love each other.
Happy Friday friends!
