Liz + Tom // An Annapolis engagement session

There are times that I meet with a bride-to-be and simply hope with all of my heart that we get to work together, to make magic together.

Liz was one of those brides. She has amazing style and so much personality; naturally, I had the best time sharing drinks and stories with her, and her mom and sister. I simply loved the three of them the instant we met.

And then…a few short weeks after we made things official, Liz was keeping me posted as we planned for their engagement session, and at the end of her email there was the most wonderful surprise: an adorable photo of their brand new puppy, Brisbane the Australian Shepherd, on his way home to live with them.

My heart melted into a puddle on the floor. It was like all of my dreams coming true at once. You guys, I don’t think it’s possible to overestimate how much I love photographing people in love and their furry children. It’s really what makes my job dreamy.

And then I met Tom at their Annapolis engagement session. He was everything Liz said he would be, and more. Let me tell you, that’s when things got more dreamy.

Two humans more perfect for each other cannot possibly exist. Aside from just being beautiful together, I love the way their silliness compliments each others’. But what’s more is the way Tom looks at Liz, holds her, totally and completely cherishes her. It’s like being in the movies, but instead it’s real life romance.

And we laughed and had a good time, and it was like happily ever after. Except that, apparently, that’s still to come. And we’ll all be together again for that too, and more magic will happen.

And a huge thanks to Liz’s sister Jessica, for doing a phenomenal job on hair and makeup (so excited we get to work together twice next year!) and to Liz’s aunt for providing such a beautiful place for photos. You ladies are amazing.
