Austin Portrait Session // Sunshine and Lyle

Without a doubt, making new friends is the best part of traveling.

I met Sunshine and Lyle over cocktails at Brass House, a swanky jazz and blues lounge in downtown Austin. Over the next two days of workshopping with Nessa and Sara, we became fast friends and decided to set up a portrait session after the workshop was over.

Just before the workshop ended, the clouds parted and beautiful sunlight streamed down for the first time since we arrived. Walking down bustling South Congress Avenue on a spring-like Saturday afternoon was exactly what my soul needed…and I just loved spending it with Sunshine and Lyle. They are two of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.

Sunshine is also a photographer and I’m so excited to follow along with her and see what exciting things she’s up to!
