Oh, San Francisco.

A week after returning home, I’m ready to go back. The weather being warm on the other coast might have something to do with it. Or the gorgeous bridge (you know the one I’m talking about – and if you don’t, I have a full post of photos for you). Or the amazing landscape, the closeness of the water and the mountains. Or the charming architecture. Or the accessibility of enjoying the outdoors. Or the ease of getting everywhere using your own two feet.

We took a day to visit the coast and then the redwood forests. That day may have been my favorite thing we did while we were there – it was wonderful to take a hike among trees as tall as skyscrapers, to see the cliffs perched high above the Pacific, to feel the warmth of the sun as it slides between the cool lines of shade from a sky-high forest, to feel the rush of adrenaline driving on the twisted edge of the rocky coast, and looking over it all as the sun set behind the ocean.
