Antrim 1844 wedding photos // Laura + Rich’s Best Day Ever
Any wedding that begins with a champagne meditation has no choice but to be the literal best day ever. Who wants to do champagne meditations with me every day (or at least before every wedding…)?!?!?
There are people who have a wedding and follow the traditions, and then there are people who have a wedding to marry their soul’s perfect match and equal in every way and create a day of beauty that mirrors what it feels like to be in love. This day was the second one.
From the sweet collected brass candlesticks with woodland objects and whimsical birds to the adorable card catalog and vintage clocks showing the times of the night’s events, Laura put so much thought into gathering pieces to make her day personal and as adorable as she is. And while I’ll always love beautiful details, it’s actually Laura’s heart that was the most beautiful thing to behold throughout the celebration.
Not just any bride would be the one to assure everyone it would be alright that a table number went missing or to change and dress her nephew before putting on her own dress. But that’s exactly the kind of bride Laura was – looking out for everyone’s calm and being a sun of joy around which the entire wedding would orbit.
And it’s easy to see why Laura has so much light to give. Because when you see how happy Rich makes her, how much he treasures her, and how genuinely he admires her, it all makes sense – he completely fills her soul. He tells her silly jokes and one liners, gives her an entire catalog of records for them to listen to together, and holds her like there’s no one more dear to his heart in the world.
So here are a few collected memories and moments from their day, one of the ones that I will always treasure in my heart, not only because it was completely lovely, but because they are.
