Simple
Creating. It’s what I know I was born to do.
Even though I love it, it is the very hardest thing to make it happen, when I’m doing it simply for the joy of creating.
Coming up with ideas…that’s the easy part. Journal pages filled with plans, notebooks of dreams completed and cast aside, pinterest board upon board of inspiration for someday..
And then it’s winter – everything slows down. I know that I still need to create, but without a deadline, without a contract for a certain date, it’s easier to do the mundane tasks that get put aside during the rest of the year. The tasks are still mundane, but they help put off the thing I know I need to do…make something.
It is absolutely the war of art…the fight against resistance.
I complained (I mean cried) to my husband…I need to create. I have so many ideas but it takes so long and so much to execute.
And as always, he had the answer.
You’re over-thinking it. You like simple. Work with that…it doesn’t need to be a production. You’ll feel better if you just do it.
So I did. And it feels so much better.
I promise that you can, too.
