Creative wedding party photos // 1920s Halloween Wedding
Non-traditional weddings are totally some of my favorites. Like this one, that Dani and I worked on last year – a spooky 1920s Halloween wedding at Westminster Hall in Baltimore (which is totally a contender for my favorite Baltimore wedding venue, even with the attached grave yard where Edgar Allen Poe is buried…totally the opposite of the traditional wedding scene, yet so incredibly gorgeous in a dark and interesting way).
And yet, while the details for this wedding were out of this world (a must-see in the slideshow at the end of this post!), created by the fabulous team at Elle Ellinghaus Designs who are a dream to work with, some of my favorite images from this day were the creative wedding party photos.
I rather adore a mix of traditional wedding portraits with something completely unexpected…an unusual angle, a traditional pose in a creative composition, or anything in the style of Annie Leibovitz – groups within a group that are totally classically inspired yet completely modern and original.
If you’re looking for inspiration for interesting ways to pose groups, I’m a huge fan of stopping by your local bookstore or magazine stand and grabbing an issue of Vogue, W, or Vanity Fair – I almost always find creative wedding party photos ideas within their pages!
