Be Present
At the start of the shoot, we’ll check in and make sure we’re both in our bodies. We’ll dance away the nerves and feel the support of the Earth beneath our feet.
Explore
The heart of our time together will be spent moving and exploring – both the space we inhabit and the way we experience it. I’ll follow your curiosity and guide you in ways to make beautiful photos from the places your body leads.
Have fun
Let’s be adventurers! If there’s something you’ve always wanted to try – like swimming in a pool filled with flowers, hula hooping with ten hoops, or running around naked in nature – this is the time to live out your wildest dream.

Preparing for your shoot
This is kind of a trick question - you can do as much or as little as you want to prepare.
The question I hope you'll consider is what makes YOU feel unique and free and brings you disproportionate joy about yourself? (I'll go first: mine's my hair, and my eyelashes. Pink hair should be my natural color and a touch of mascara makes me feel my very best.) And then focus on those things and leave the rest.
Whether you prepare for weeks or seconds, I promise we'll make something beautiful. I only ask that you do whatever it takes to show up open to experiencing - willing to allow your senses to lead you on an adventure and be delighted. If you haven't had your photo taken frequently or recently, a little bit anxiety beforehand is normal...and we'll take care of that together.
Props and outfits
During our planning time, we'll create a vision for your shoot that will help us know what types of props and outfits would enhance the experience and bring your dream into reality.
Most shoots involve casual attire and/or outfits that let you move freely (think flowy dresses, jumpsuits, jeans and t-shirts, bathing or body suits, and simple draped fabric).
I can help with providing flowers, plants, flowy material, and a body of water - included with your base shoot - and you are always welcome to bring personal artifacts that are meaningful to you.
If you are looking for a fully designed and styled experience (think flower installations, wardrobe styling, etc), all you have to do is speak up and share your dreams - we can always add that on for an additional fee.
A word about bodies
All bodies are welcome here.
My body and I had a tense relationship from the time I was started puberty at six years old (far too early) until I was 32...which is to say, our relationship has been in recovery - from religious trauma, burnout, disordered and restrictive eating, stress, anxiety, and people pleasing - and on a path of healing for the past three years.
What helped the most was letting go of my need to like my body, which was holding me in a pattern of seeing it for the ways it does or doesn't meet certain standards. Instead, I decided to try for simple acceptance. When I lowered the bar to acceptance of whatever my body wants to be, I began to appreciate the unique way my body exists in the world and was amazed by the ability it has to feel so deeply, which is what it was designed to do.
These portrait sessions are meant to celebrate the unique way your body experiences joy and delight, and create art that will help you treasure that feeling. Your body does not have to be "perfect" or fit into any type of mold to be able to participate in this. It only has to have its very own way of being in the world. What brings you joy and the way it lights you up is the only type of beauty we're seeking.
Comfort and consent
Your body will be much more open to joy if it feels safe.
Because your body is in charge of your photo experience, we'll honor its needs throughout the time we spend together.
You get to decide what you feel comfortable with during your shoot. I'll meet you wherever you are and check in periodically during the session to ask how you're feeling. If we need to take a break to breathe, drink water, or take care of any other bodily needs, we'll make the space to do so.
What this is (and isn't)
A few boundaries:
This experience is for adults. It isn't intended for humans under the age of 18.
"Women" includes any human who identifies as a woman or as non-binary, and is open to anyone who honors the feminine spirit inside of them. This is an inclusive space, rather than an exclusive one.
This is an artistic exploration. Any work that we create together is intended to be driven by curiosity and self-expression. The space that we hold is intended to be free from any type of exploitation and objectification. You control who gets to see the finished photos we make together.
Headshots, boudoir, and insta-fluencer photos these are not. If you need these types of photos, please inquire here.
